Testimonials from our clients
Wyvern Partnership specialise in designing new build and adapting existing properties to suit individuals with disabilities. We have worked with Vickie at Advance OT on various projects now and we have found her to be very thorough and professional. Vickie has a great knowledge of specialist equipment and is always keen to provide advice and recommendations as to what products will work best for each individual client. Vickie is also very efficient in obtaining equipment quotations at tender stage. This allows contractors to place orders from the outset to avoid any delays. We would have no hesitation in recommending the services of Vickie and Advance OT and we hope to work together on many more projects.
We were first introduced to Sarah via a client’s Case Manager. Despite our first collaboration being a very small project, there were many hurdles to overcome, especially with working on a property where the client & their family were in occupation. Sarah was on hand to respond to technical queries and offered to liaise directly with the contractor in order to help expediate the works. We look forward to working with Sarah and Advance OT in the near future.
We needed an OT to help with house adaptations and equipment for our severely disabled child. Murdo has been incredible. His personal organisational abilities are faultless and he can be relied on utterly to produce an accurate, consistent but speedy report. He worked with distinction, having people out to measure ramps and wash pods literally the day after the rental was offered to us. He considered options to keep our child safe, padding radiators and fireplaces. He was very professional with a positive attitude and great communication skills, liaising with everyone involved in our team, including multiple parties. I would unreservedly recommend him.
Emer – we would be lost without your support and just want to say thank you for everything you’re doing for our child.
Your input has made such a difference to H and us. Prior to having the assessment I didn’t know which route to take or what would be most helpful. I’m so glad I picked the OT route as it’s practical and directly correlates to H’s well-being. I cannot thank you enough.
B called me on video call after you left, he was so excited about the cheesecake you had made together in the session. He told me he was so proud of himself that he put on the song proud by Heather Small, he also sang along to it because he was so happy with himself.
I am writing to thank you for the time Sarah took to come and meet our Access and Achievement Department and see our resources for supporting successful inclusion of our SEND students here at Chorlton High School. In addition to the advice, we are so grateful for the donation of resources to our department. The weighted-cushion and black-out tent have been particularly useful to support students to manage their sensory needs and help them setup for the requirements of the classroom. We are currently planning for students returning to school after the closure. I know the resources will help our students adjusting back to school.
I have worked with Vickie, Sarah and Katy from Advance OT and can honestly not speak highly enough of them.
Advance OT therapists are extremely knowledgeable in their expertise, are fantastic with the clients and their families, and support case management and the wider MDT to implement a holistic rehabilitation programme which is person centred to that client. I can rely on them to always provide timely updates and their report writing and clinical notes are everything a case manager need.
Advance OT are my go-to OT company for sure!
Advance OT are a pleasure to work with as part of an MDT. They are always dedicated to achieving the best for each individual and provide bespoke support to make achieving goals fun and motivating every time.
Vickie has provided occupational therapy services to a number of my clients all of whom have a broad spectrum of disabilities. Her level of knowledge, expertise and empathy has seen her quickly become part of my panel of most trusted providers and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone. She is and continues to be invaluable to those clients and their families in not only the provision of therapy services but also sourcing and recommendations for aids and equipment.
Our son not only has a disability but challenging behaviours which can prove to be very difficult. Vickie’s approach to this is second to none. She make her sessions fun and engaging but still professional and focused. Our son loves it when Vickie visits, we often hear him laughing out loud, which as parents is very comforting for us. Vickie has extensive knowledge of the equipment that best suits our sons needs and her good relationships with company reps just makes everything run smoothly.
Vickie is dynamic and innovative in her therapy with clients and she is a highly valued member of the multi-disciplinary team. Vickie is reliable and quick to give responses and she has strong interpersonal skills which mean that she is able to smooth over tricky situations and deal sensitively with difficult issues while remaining calm and cheerful.
In my experience of working with Katy she has shown herself to be professional and courteous. She has demonstrated an ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families, in even the trickiest of situations. Katy is responsive, and proactive in her approach. She keeps the client’s needs central to all of her input.
Emer is the best Neuro OT that has worked with my client. I cannot thank her enough for her input and support.
She’s done a good job. She got all the safety aspects in the house sorted for me in a good timescale. She’s brilliant to approach. But she does mither me about wearing slippers and my pendant
Advance Occupational Therapy have been in our lives for just over 2 years now and we are so pleased with the progress Brandon has made. He enjoys his sessions and he loves our OT Sarah! Sarah has always been so supportive and helpful, and works around what time suits us.
Brandon’s sibling is always made to feel involved too, which is nice for both of them. We couldn’t be happier with the care that has been provided to us.
Emma has been amazing whilst she has been working with my son Parker, finding therapists who not only understand but have the patience to work with Parker is not as easy as some may think. Emma was first introduced to help Parker learn to control his powered wheelchair and that is exactly what she has achieved in a small space of time, he is less frustrated and more focused when moving around. Emma has also helped Vickie in some of their sessions, Parker absolutely loves having Emma around to help him achieve as much as possible. As a family I can highly recommend her and would say to anyone lucky enough to have Emma involved, be prepared to see your child develop and achieve their targets very quickly
I work with Vickie, Sarah and the team in a professional capacity.
All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable in their field.
I love how inventive, fun and client centred joint therapy sessions are with Vickie, she is a joy to know and work with
The team at Advance OT are our go to for both adult and paediatric clients with complex physical and neurological needs. They always go the extra mile to source products that others just don’t think of, they build fantastic therapeutic relationships with both clients and their families and always deliver outstanding results. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services.
wow the difference Vickie has made to our lives is amazing thank you so much for listening understanding and never judging.
An amazing therapist who takes her time to get to know the child, gains their trust and helps support the child to excel beyond anyone’s expectations. Never sees a child with a disability but sees a child that needs support to overcome some extra barriers. We couldn’t be anymore thankful to Vickie, and would certainly recommend her to anyone and everyone.
